Art by Jacquelyn LeVan
I am a 27-year-old, self taught artist from Baton Rouge, LA. After earning a bachelors degree in environmental science, I moved to New Orleans to pursue my dream of being a full time artist. I told myself, "If not now, when?"
My style changes dramatically as I learn new techniques, but it always revolves around the themes of life cycles, nature, and human's interaction with their environment.
My current work focuses mainly around graphite and watercolor drawings, as well as preserved-flower jewelry and shadow boxes. The shadow boxes are made in collaboration with my father, Steve LeVan, who also makes electric guitars.
